Modular Camp Installation Responsibilities: Who Performs What on Site?

Assign site readiness, foundations, unloading, lifting, positioning, assembly, external connections, inspection, testing and handover before modules arrive.

Modular camp installation is a coordinated project sequence, not an automatic part of module supply. Activities may be divided between KUBO, the buyer or EPC contractor and locally authorised contractors.

KUBO may provide applicable manuals and agreed remote support. This does not mean KUBO provides local labor, cranes, civil works or complete site installation by default. The signed project scope must assign every activity.

Before Arrival

Installation starts before the truck reaches the site

Agree the site, equipment, labor, supervision, external connections and release gates before delivery so modules do not arrive without a coordinated installation path.

Approved Layout

Confirm building positions, orientation, interfaces and installation sequence.

Ready Work Area

Release unloading, staging, lifting, storage and assembly areas under the site plan.

Assigned Resources

Identify local labor, lifting, tools, temporary works, supervision and responsible parties.

Site Readiness

Establish site readiness before arrival

Site readiness includes more than available space. Each prerequisite should be inspected and released under the project installation plan.

Physical Readiness

Project Readiness

Foundations & Civil Interface

Release the support conditions before positioning modules

Foundation design, civil works, site levels and drainage remain project-specific. KUBO may provide agreed building information; locally authorised parties should complete the work assigned to them.

Information to Coordinate

Release Gate

Arrival Handoff

Separate delivery handoff from on-site installation

This page starts with site arrival and readiness. Route, port and inland-transport risks belong in the separate last-mile logistics guide.

Delivery Handover

Confirm the agreed site handover point, receiving party and condition records.

Unloading Plan

Assign unloading equipment, operators, rigging, exclusion areas and staging responsibility.

Lifting Plan

Use a project-specific lifting plan prepared and approved by the responsible authorised party.

Positioning & Assembly

Define the sequence, labor and supervision model

Use the approved building configuration, drawings and applicable manuals. No universal crew size or duration applies across every system.

Positioning & Assembly

Supervision & Checks

Joints & Internal Completion

Inspect joints, sealing and internal connections against project documents

Applicable checks depend on the selected system. This page does not establish a universal sealing method, weatherproofing result or inspection procedure.

Building Interfaces

Review module joints, panels, roof interfaces, openings and transitions specified in project documents.

Service Penetrations

Check penetrations and specified sealing locations where factory-built and site-completed work meet.

Internal Connections

Identify what was completed in the factory, what remains on site and who performs and checks each connection.

External MEP & Site Utilities

Treat external connections as a separate installation interface

Internal building provisions do not include the external project network automatically. Define connection, testing and commissioning responsibilities for every utility.

Building-Side Interface

External Project Work

QA, Punch List & Handover

Close each work package under the agreed responsibility split

Permits, inspections, tests, commissioning and handover records should match the project scope and local authority requirements.

Inspection & QA

Apply the approved inspection plan, hold points and records to the responsible work package.

Punch List

Assign every outstanding item to the party responsible for the associated supply or site work.

Testing & Commissioning

Define systems, methods, witnesses, sign-off and commissioning limits before execution.

Buyer-Provided Equipment

Coordinate supports, power, plumbing, openings, access and commissioning for separately purchased equipment.

Handover Records

Collect supplier records, local-work records, inspections, tests, drawings and manuals assigned to each package.

Final Acceptance

Use the agreed project acceptance criteria rather than an assumed modular-building handover package.

Execution Questions

Modular camp installation FAQ

Assign every final activity to the supplier, buyer/EPC or locally authorised contractor in the signed project scope.

Foundation design and civil construction are project-specific. KUBO may provide agreed building information, while the buyer/EPC and locally authorised parties complete responsibilities assigned in the contract.

Assign unloading, cranes, operators, rigging, staging and positioning before delivery. These are not automatically included in module supply.

The project installation model must identify labor, supervision, tools, access, temporary works and safety coordination. Local resources may remain with the buyer/EPC or appointed contractor.

No universal model applies. Manuals and agreed remote support may be available, while local assembly labor and site supervision depend on the signed scope.

Internal building provisions and external project networks are separate. Define final connection, testing, commissioning and approval responsibilities for each utility.

Allocate every permit, inspection, hold point, test, witness, sign-off and commissioning activity according to project and local authority requirements.

Provide the approved layout, building schedule, site and foundation status, unloading/lifting plan, labor model, utility interfaces, inspection and commissioning plan, punch-list process and handover index.

Confirm Your Camp Installation Model and Site Resources

Send KUBO the approved building schedule, site readiness information, unloading and lifting plan, local labor model, external utility interfaces and required inspection, testing and handover process.

Attach the agreed installation model to the mining accommodation configuration, EPC site-facility proposal or workforce accommodation project brief. For energy projects, carry it into the oil and gas accommodation plan or renewable project camp configuration before confirming delivery and local execution responsibilities.
